The PreSonus SW5E is a rugged AVB network switch designed for connecting digital audio devices over long distances using CAT5e or CAT6 Ethernet cable. The device provides Power over Ethernet (PoE) and enables audio routing anywhere on the network with extremely low latency. The AVB protocol provides a high-precision clock that significantly reduces harmonic distortion and phasing, ensuring that audio remains clean and clear.

PoE allows network cables to carry electrical power to compatible devices, providing both network data, such as digital audio, and power from a single cable. Four of the five ports on SW5E provide PoE, with the fifth port used for networking to additional switches to create a larger network. The heavy-duty metal enclosure is designed to withstand the rigors of road wear and can be rack mounted using an optional rack tray. PreSonus SW5E comes with a standard IEC power cord.
